Swell RFUA was launched on air May 5th, 2020 as a weekly, one hour radio show in San Diego on KCBQ FM 96.1/AM 1170 and World Wide online at theanswersandiego.com. Their first on air guest was Mark Kendall of Great White. Since then, they have produced over 40 shows featuring insight, anecdotes and tales from the road from nationally and internationally known rock stars including Brian Wheat and Frank Hannon (Tesla), Neil Turbin (ex - Anthrax), Paul Shortino (Rough Cut and Quiet Riot), Marq Torien (Bullet Boys), Sean Peck (Cage), Ripper Owens (Judas Priest) and many more. In addition to these stars of the big stage, time is spent each show highlighting unsigned bands from the the San Diego rock and roll scene. Some of the bands that have appeared are Brett Ellis Band, Sprung Monkey, Los Santos, Big Tooth Comb, Freakshow and Angelshade to name just a few.
